Midget Smith Surf

On September 7th, 2008, friends of Midget Smith shared in an incredible experience in remembrance of a great man.

It was easy to see how many people’s lives were touched by Midget whenever a benefit was held. Mike Ness of Social D showing his support.

Sad news to announce, Midget Smith passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on August 23rd. A Memorial Paddle Out was scheduled for Sunday September 7, 2008 at the San Clemente Pier.

Travis Mellem caught the attention of the entire surf industry when he destroyed the recent swells that hit the west coast. Mellem charged the biggest sets on his Pro-Circuit shaped by Midget. Check it out:
